Logo Variants[]

RoosterDickhouse

An example of the Rooster logo seen in the TV show

The Dickhouse logo is a simplistic cartoon rainbow against a black background with the company name below in the Jackass white lowercase font. The company's original logo, which was utilised post-credits in the Jackass TV show, featured a plastic rooster in various environments, with the rooster's location changing each episode. The white lowercase Dickhouse name was overlaid. This variant of the logo was also utilised in Jackass: The Movie.

For Jackass Number Two and Jackass 2.5, the logo changed to be an animation of the entering of a person's mouth, in which there are psychedelic butterfly and rainbow visuals. These visuals then lead to the cartoon rainbow, which appears on the black screen accompanied by a sparkle and the trademark chicken cluck sound effect.

In Jackass 3D, Jackass 3.5, Jackass presents: Bad Grandpa, and Bad Grandpa .5, the logo begins with a live hen flying in front of a black screen, before the Dickhouse rainbow appears with a sparkle followed by the chicken sound. For Jackass Forever and Jackass 4.5, the Dickhouse logo is simplified to be only the latter part of these logos, with the rainbow, sparkle, and chicken cluck sound.

In the Jackass film series, the logo follows the Paramount and MTV logos, and precedes the Warning screen and Jackass logo.

Trivia[]

  • With the animation of the colourful psychedelic visuals occurring within a mouth, the Dickhouse logo animation seen in the opening of Jackass number two may be a metaphor for hallucinogenic drugs taken orally such as LSD, and perhaps even inspired by the concept of an acid tab's POV. This is further evidenced by the fact that the majority of the Jackass crew were at the peak of their drug usage during the filming of this movie.
    • The usage of the rainbow within the company logo may have originally been a psychedelic drug reference. Yet it is also suspected to be a reference to the rainbow pride flag due to the homoerotic humour of Jackass, as well as their large LGBTQ+ following and cameos from LGBTQ+ icons such as Rip Taylor and John Waters.
  • Despite the company's original logo mascot being a rooster, the sound effect used is that of a hen.
  • The usage of the chicken imagery and sound design may be a reference to the suggestive-sounding name of the cockerel, which aligns with the company name. It may also be a reference to the phrase "choke the chicken," a male masturbation euphemism.
